So, I know this isn't Wednesday, you might as well stop trusting me, and stop reading my blog. just kidding. You can totally do whatever you want. :)
So, my parents were in Mexico this week for vacation, let's here the sighs.... I was disappointed. That left me with my younger siblings for seven days. The first six were great, the last day- the claws came out. (literally.) If you don't know my brother and sister, well... you're not really missing out. ;)
Let's start with the beginning of the week:
Monday- Valentine's Day: WORST DAY EVER. I don't understand why this holiday even exists, it is so pointless. Shouldn't we tell the people we love that we love them EVERY day, not just once a year? I guess it's because I'm single, and Valentines= S.A.D (single awareness day) Funny story: My friend and I went to the grocery store at about 5 pm, right as all the men were coming home from work; man! you should've seen the line in the floral department. It was UNBELIEVABLE. All these guys stood in line forever just to bring some fresh flowers home to their loved ones. We couldn't help but burst out laughing, and when we reflect back on it, it still just makes us laugh. I guess it's a married thing that I have yet to discover.
I celebrated Valentine's Day with my two little Valentine's. (Kenz and Nate) We made a heart shaped pizza (photo below,) and NO we didn't actually make it, we simply baked it. :)
This same friend as I mentioned above and I decided to make some Valentine's day cookies. She made a giant heart cookie for her boyfriend, Eric. So we decided to double the recipe and make a batch for my family. Surprisingly, they turned out really well.

She put so much work into this sweet little gift for her bf. I will admit, she did a GREAT job. :) Way to go KENZ!

The night continued by watching The Bachelor. I LOVE that show. Any fellow bachelor followers: How sweet is Emily?! And I wanted to end the watching "He's Just Not That Into You," but the lil' siblings opted for the movie Valentine's Day... which I love. If you have not seen it, please, please do.
The rest of the week went great, and I gained a new found respect for college student-parents. I only had kids for a week, and they're pretty independent (besides the driving part.) So, WAY TO GO college parents!

i agree - bleh........will used to buy me roses, but then i realized (it doesn't take a rocket scientist) that he was spending OUR hard earned money on flowers that cost three times as much as they should! ugh. i told him if he ever bought me flowers on vday again he would know pain, lots of pain. and don't even get me started on trying to go out to dinner. stupid holiday......not that i feel strongly about this. :)
