Okay, so this is my second post today,
but I would feel horrible if I didn't post about this.
May 2nd is my parent's wedding anniversary,
so HAPPY 24 YEARS Mom and Dad... and here's to 80 more!!!
But it's not only my parents anniversary, but it's...
THE DAY MY LIFE CHANGED....
It was May 2nd, 1996 the day my family went to the temple
and got sealed to each other for time and all eternity.
This is an experience I will NEVER forget.
A lot of people can't remember things
when they were four years old, but for some reason...
I remember EVERY detail of that day.
Here are some of the things I remember:
1. Going to get my picture taken with my sister in our new temple dresses
2. Playing in the nursery at the temple with my sister,
waiting for my parents to come get us.
3. Walking into the sealing room at the Provo temple,
and seeing all our neighbors and friends there to support us.
4. Here's the thing that only happened to me:
You know how they say the temples unite families
(duh...?) I could've sworn on my life that I saw my
grandpa there with us, but the weird part about
this story was that he had passed away about
6 months before that, and I was the only one
that saw him there. This is an experience
I've shared with my family, and it just makes me
realize how important the temples are.
They can unite families and bring them together FOREVER!
I know that I'll see my grandpa again,
because of that experience in the temple.
Temples are amazing, and I'm grateful that my parents came back
into the gospel and gave me the strength
I needed to gain a testimony, go to church, pray, read the scriptures and...
MOST IMPORTANTLY BE SEALED TO THEM FOREVER!!!!
Oh, how I love these people:
Through the years:
(don't mind me... i was going through those awkward years.) :)
I have to say that I have THE MOST AMAZING FAMILY EVER.
Obviously, today has a big significance in our family,
and I love my family more than anything in the world.
and another thing:
Tonight I went to a senior testimony night through my seminary.
I walked in totally convinced that I wasn't
going to share my testimony, because that's
not my thing, but anyway... I can't tell you how
strong the spirit was in that chapel. I don't remember
feeling it that strong in a long time. The first time
being when we went to
the temple. I never realized how close
you could become to people by simply sharing
your testimony with them. Out of all the people there,
we are all united on a different level.
Go OHS seminary class of 2010!!!
